NATIONAL PROGRAM

helping to influence change at the national level

OUR STORY

Our National Level team works at the national and provincial level influencing government policy and practice to create a better environment for our partner communities.

From years of being involved at the ground level in development in Papua New Guinea and having been supported by large international partners, FORCERT is in the unique position where we have first hand experience and a depth of knowledge and expertise in our staff which can help push Papua New Guinea in the right direction at every level.

This is why FORCERT’s National Level Program was created. This team focuses on making sure that the voices of the communities FORCERT works with are heard at the highest level.

THE NATIONAL LEVEL PROGRAM HAS FOUR MAIN GOALS

1

Effective collaboration with other NGO’s to influence government policy and practice

2

Effective coordination between NGO’s to influence National & Provincial Government.

3

Changes in national government (flowing to lower government levels) policies and programs to favourably support the work of our partner communities and other communities

4

Acceptance by local level government (flowing to higher government levels) of community sustainable land use plans

COMPLETING THESE GOALS WILL HELP TO MAKE
A FAIRER PAPUA NEW GUINEA FOR ALL
